Ocean Terrace has disappeared from the Center Hills/ Might Acres website. Anyone hear what has happened to him?

I hope you are referring to the country.

Ocean Terrace had a tremendous 1st crop in Chile - the Champion 2 year old filly, and then his fillies ran 1,2 in the Chilean Derby. The Chileans took note and bought him.

Unfortunately he did not have the same opportunity in the US as he had only 28 foals in his 1st US crop from lesser quality mares - apparently the farm that stood him did not do their job. From this small crop he did manage to get 3 SW's. His first OK crop is also small, but his Mighty Acres crops are decent sized by OK standards and perhaps these foals will give him some more success in the US.

Ocean Terrace was a beautiful, talented racehorse and provided the rare opportunity to cross a Halo line sire carrying no Northern Dancer on mares carrying ND - thereby linebreeding the 1/2 sisters Cosmah & Natalma. A shame he did not get a real chance in his 1st year at stud in the States - not enough foals in the 1st crop is a death sentence in the States.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

A well turned retort. Nice work.

it was indeed an excellent retort! Which makes me wince all the more when reconsidering my last sentence! Of course I was speaking metaphorically
