If anyone is looking for some nice young stock, there are some young mares for free on ocala4sale.com. Daughters of Stormy Atlantic, Kafwain, Menifee, Slew Gin Fizz, Tiger Ridge (from the immediate family of Stephen Got Even. This one is screaming to go to Stevie Wonderboy). The oldest one is 8. Not bad pedigrees either. Here are the names
Breaking Storm
Sizzlin Swizzle
Yeah Me
Dare To Fight
Daring Tiger
These are not my mares. Just posting on this site hoping to find a good home for these girls. If you are interested let me know and I will give the phone number.

I really loved the 2008 Kafwain filly until I looked her up, and the Jockey Club shows her as "Application Pending" - it shows they are missing the stud certificate, and the registration fee was partially paid.
To me, it indicates that perhaps the stud fee was not paid, and it will likely cost an additional $1800 to finish her registration. She IS named Dare to Fight, though.

These all appear to be Robert and Sandy Murphy (Dare To Dream Farm) horses.
They lost a lawsuit in February concering a Street Cry yearling they sold in 2008 at Keeneland (to Solitary Oak {Danny Pate}) that had invasive joint surgery prior to the Keeneland sale and they didn't disclose it (and the conditions of sale say they are required to disclose that). The buyer, Danny Pate, even specifically asked about this and was told that the colt had not had any surgery.
The lawsuit verdict was a blow to Keeneland's 14 day rule as the court determined that evidence of this surgery couldn't be readily ascertained in 14 days.
The mare listed here "Yeah Me" is a half to that Street Cry colt mentioned in the lawsuit.
I see several of these other mares have foals where it appears stud fee hasn't been paid as well.

I've gotten in contact with the owner and will be looking at them tomorrow. We're looking for a riding horse for my daughter who needs something with a little more get up and go than her current QH gelding. I'll be taking my camera and if it's ok with the owner, taking pictures. If there is a mare anyone is interested in, I'd be happy to take pictures and share, providing the owner doesn't mind.
My daughter and I went up and looked at the mares (and one gelding) and picked out a lovely 5 y.o. Chapel Royal mare. We took pictures of some of the other mares and if anyone is interested, I would be happy to send pics. It was actually a fun day. The owner took us on a lovely tour and then we went inside the house and met his wife who happened to be associated with Marguerite Henry (flashback to grade school and reading King of the Wind, Justin Morgan had a Horse & Misty of Chingoteague. Infact, one of her books is written about Sandy and her Chincoteague/TB cross, Misty's Twighlight. We got to meet Twighlights only offspring and Sandy was kind enought to sign one of the books for my daughter, who is 8, and gave her a t-shirt w/ Twighlight on it. They were truely nice people and only want to find good homes for their horses.
Edited to add: I wanted to share what Dr. Sandy wrote in Megan's book she was given...

So what is the "Gone With The Wind" connection?
I think camar711 meant King of the Wind.
