Boarding in KY

Postby follygirl » Wed Apr 20, 2005 12:03 pm

Can anyone make a recommendation for boarding farms in KY? I have a mare and new foal to go to a stallion at Airdrie. It does not have to be a big operation, just clean and very hands on so that the baby will be touched and socialized and well taken care of. If you have thoughts about where NOT to go, please send those as well. :D

Thanks,
Cathy

I highly recommend Sanborn Chase (859) 885-2763. I am in New York and have been sending them my mares for years for the breeding season. Relatively small hands on, excellent care for mare and baby, excellent rates and just a tremendous record of getting mares in foal 1st time. I sent 3 this year and all 3 in-foal on one breeding. Last year the same. Very professional operation. You will be very happy with the care they give your mare and foal.

follygirl, the PM is a private message. You can send a PM to anyone's post by hitting on the PM button on the lower left of the box. When you open the MESSAGE BOARD, you will get word of any PM's waiting for you, and how to find them.

Hi, a few of us on here have mares at Keith Crupper's farm in Paris. He is VERY reasonable, and comes highly recommended. He does his own van driving to the stud farms as well, which we loved. His phone is 859.983.0748 He is taking a mare to Crypto for me.

I'll second Keith Crupper. Just don't fill him up... I still have a couple mares to send over to him.

Ha! The person I recommended in my PM was also Keith Crupper. Sounds like everyone here uses him! Good to know.
