Not 100% sure but I did hear the other day for a reliable source that 1915 model, Gloaming, won 19 in a row in Australia and New Zealand.

He started 67 times for 57 wins!

For the record, Kincsem's 39th race may have been a dead heat, but back then they didn't have race videos and instant replay so it was officially a win.
