Well, I often see what looks like attempts at this sort of thing in pedigrees of OTTB's I retrain for sporthorse careers. One little mare had more than 10 crosses through several different lines to Man o War. She was a total dud as a racehorse, but a lovely looking athlete and made a nice show hunter/dressage horse.

Okay next step .. how do I find out if there are any PA stallions that would "fit" the needs for these two mares?

I think the explainations and suggests make sense. I would like to get in on the PA breeder awards since they will foal in PA.
