| Derby Stakes.
Mundig was a half brother to Cotherstone, a winner of The Derby and The Two Thousand Guineas. Mundig won The Derby, the Doncaster three-year-old Foal Stakes and King’s Plates at York and Nottingham. He was not a great winner of The Derby. He retired to stud at the end of his season as a three-year-old where he become extremely savage. He once went on the rampage and killed a man.
