Had some success as a broodmare stallion, as sire of an unnamed daughter which is the fifth earliest mare in the lineage of American Family A18, the best horses descending from her including Tecumseh (1885 Preakness Stakes) and Typhoon II (1897 Kentucky Derby); and of the dam of Grey Alfred, the sire of an unnamed mare which is ancestress of Tenpenny (1888 Kentucky Oaks)
