Griff,

My wife and I both watched Forks Over Knives on Netflix last night, very interesting. My cholesterol is already 145 and I'm not on their diet, but after watching the video will try to avoid even more fat and sugar and adopt some of their recipes. I'm still gonna occasionally have a nice steak though. My dad will be 88 in a couple of months, and walks miles to town and back every week and is sharp as a tack. He eats biscuits and gravy every day.

I recommend you Google "FORKS OVER KNIVES", scroll down and watch the trailer.

Even better, if you have NetFlick [?], you can pull up the entire video "FORKS OVER KNIVES" .

Either or both are well worth your time and effort. The video's companion book is a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

I have lost 75+ pounds in 18 months but more important yesterday my BP was 117/62 & last blood test showed total cholesterol <110 with a 4/1 ratio.

The whites of my eyes are white again and I am never hungry.

I was introduced to FOK by my 32 YO son who has been diagnosed with a "fatty liver' and placed in a clinical study in Richmond VA.

PS: I realize this is far far off topic and will back off. PM me if you have questions.

My husband has been recently diagosed advanced cancer,we carried him almost to the hospital(he was a smoker coffe addict junk food eater)I am a naturopath so I cut his sugar(cancer cells feed off sucrose-fructose) and make him breath oxygen with ginger roots, and he takes Red Reishi, well he has so far almost no side effects from chimio (3 days of high level chemicals every 21 days for 6 months)and his tumors are reducing he also feels great and has started to work again a few days into the Red Reishi beginning. He truly believes that mushroom is saving him and improving his life quality. The past year he was always sick and could not work.Only after a few days of the mushroom extract did he started to feel normal again and he eats so much too,he is putting on weight.I am not saying everyone goes buy this only reporting so if needed you can look at it
The sport and industry survive not only because of the champions that are remembered forever but also because of the losers that are so easy to forget...

As my old man used to tell me, son, you might as well enjoy life, because nobody is getting out alive. Stay off the booze though, that can ruin lives more than anything.
