Yes, well I tried leaving the broodmare manual in the feed tub in hopes that my mares might educate themselves. Since the horses can't read about the BC Juvie "curse", nor the form, it may just be a confluence of stars. And sometimes, it is pure coincidence.
A lot of the Juvie winners were precocious types, hammered into steel early on for a big 2 year old year. Then their peers caught up to them and they faded into the breeding shed or obscurity.
Occasionally, actually more like very seldom, there has been a great two year old that was still only DEVELOPING and went on to continue to DEVELOP at three. Which is what I believe Street Sense is. It is a bit like a lightning strike.. which brings to mind Pedigreeann's great line:
"The wait for lightning to strike is shorter if you put up an antenna."
I just hope it doesn't rain.
