Home available for OTTB's in MD

Postby Sabovee_n_Native » Tue Aug 29, 2006 7:10 pm

We have a home available for OTTB's in need - Do you have a freebie/cheapie that needs to move NOW? - ones requiring a light layup or sound, will consider others on a case by case basis.

FEI Trainer with 150 acre farm in Frederick, MD.

We run a boys only stable - Geldings/stallions only!
We do retrain and resell these horses into dressage and pleasure homes (So do not necessarily need to be sound to jump). Owners must be willing to sign horses over to us completely (this is not a training program or layup facility for outside horses, we retain ownership and all selling rights.)

www.truenorthdressage.com
Please email only - [email protected]

Horses will not be taken to auction - they are sold to good quality homes only!

ALSO - Contacts able to get horses directly from the track wanted.

Free 6 year old OTTB

Postby hollandplantation » Mon Sep 18, 2006 6:04 am

Hi,
I have a 6 year old OTTB that I have taken into my barnyard as her owners have just divorced. I am looking to give her away for free. She is too much for me energetically. I know that you take in geldings and stallions only but I was hoping you knew of someone that wanted a mare. She is very sweet on the ground but I am not able to ride her as I don't have a great seat. She needs someone with experience and has not been ridden for almost a year. I am in New Hampshire. Her registered name is Tight Security should you wish to look her up.

Thank you,Terri Holland

I contacted this person repeatedly several months ago about 4 sound geldings that I was deperate to find homes for. I left numerous messages over the course of 6 weeks and never heard a word back from them. Just a heads up for anyone dealing with this farm.

Excuse me?

I'm not sure what the problem is..... ? I try to return all the phone calls/emails I get. I really don't recall 4 geldings? Please pm me so we can talk.

there have been severel free/cheap horses pass this board in the last year. You just need to scope it more often.

Sabovee...
Don't be mad!!! I don't know anything about your farm but I did click on your website and found the link to Mid Atlantic horse rescue, so it seems you do have a great cause at heart!!

Also, just curious...why do you have a "boys only" stable, I've never heard of that?!

Why be so defensive? All Crystal said is to look at the board more often since there a lot of free horses posted..

I have a few stallions, so it's easier to just not have mares around... I'm also not partial to mares! :)

It's hard not to be defensive after being dressed down by someone I have no recollection of..... Sorry!

Just curious, how is Native Heir doing? Was so glad to hear that he found a great home...he looks awfully happy in the pics of him out in your fields. Thanks!

Native is doing fabulously. He's an absolute blessing! Thanks for asking about him, we're so happy to have him here on our farm (He's a permanent resident by the way, he's not going anywhere anytime soon! :))
