I'm trying to find horses in the database by the country of birth.

Is it possible?

Thanks

You might get a more direct answer by contacting the website manager. Go to the Select a Forum drop-down list and go to the bottom group PEDIGREE. If it can be done, the answerer should know.

But realize that this database of horses is complete only so far as the data input. E.g., if no one with a special interest has input the data about Turkish horses, there will be very few Turkish horses in the database; only those individuals that complete the ancestry of more recent horses in the database.

Even if it were possible....unless you were searching for horses foaled in, say, Luxembourg, the search result would be SO huge that you'd need a heck of a computer to load it. There are a LOT of critters in this database....even for the 'smaller' breeding areas.

A better bet might be to get hold of a stallion directory for the country in question, and explore progeny reports for them.....or see if their stud book / jockey club has a website. :)
