Site problems

Postby Pete » Sat Apr 28, 2007 6:38 am

Hi Folks,

Anyone experiencing the same problems with the site as me?

I can't connect much of the day (or at night), don't get email reminders about thread posts and worst, having problems with the database.

I can only get 1 generation no matter what I do when I use FEMALE FAMILY.

Thanks,

Pete

I have had many problems with the pedigree data base, wrong pedigrees etc.

Something is definitely wrong. When I try to bring up "progeny" it only yields old and fragmentary information.

Hi Folks,

Ann is having the multiple post problems that I've encountered.

Patuxet, I just got the same message :)

At least I know that I'm not crazy.

I've had all of the above problems. According to another thread in the information section, the server went down and they're trying to rectify the problem - not very quickly IMO. I also think it would be polite if the owners of the board (NOT the moderator who has no control over this) could let paying subscribers at the very least know what's going on.

Yesterday morning the database brought up random horses' pedigrees when I was checking a hypo-mating and hit the linebreeding button. After about 6-8 wrong horses, it returned to sanity and has been okay.

Today I looked at Sri Pekan's pedigree page regarding another post, and found him and his progeny and ancestors correctly, but he himself is not listed among the progeny of his dam or sire. Very weird, as if his name was just added today (I think it's been there for several days at least, so should be showing up in progeny records). His dam Lady Godolphin [78] is not listed among her sire Son Ange's progeny, and I had to delete the 1995 Layd Godolphin (sic) who was listed as Son Ange's daughter, as 1995 is three years younger than Sri Pekan.

I'll submit this info to the webmaster, in case it helps.

I have been having problems for 4 days now, It seems that during peak hours the Internet traffic is grid locked.
