Wildcat Heir

Postby rudydee » Tue May 08, 2007 11:45 am

I heard from a friend in Florida who has a season for Wildcat Heir. The mare is having a difficult time getting in foal because Wildcat Heir does not have the libido to "get the job done to its proper completion". He feels part of the problem is that there are some days Cloverleaf is asking Wildcat to cover 4 mares a day. Doesn't this sound crazy? Aren't they asking a little too much of this young stallion?

Is it possible that Wildcat Heir's libido has collapsed because it has too many strains of Phalaris?

Maybe Wildcat Heir should read the Kama Sutra. Variety is the spice of life!

What -- Phalaris no nooky?? That's IT!! Maybe the fertility issues and breeding habits (shyness, etc.) are all due to PHALARIS.

That damn Phalaris!!! Because of him, we have Global Warming, a war in Iraq, and now Wildcat Heir won't touch a mare. We should throw rocks at his tombstone!

How many jumps a day does it take to cover 173 mares?

I'm guessing that's why stallions don't wear pants?

Rudydee

I think that your friends mare has a problem. Wildcat Heir served 173 mares last year and got 152 of them in foal (88% in foal). This year he is covering around 160 mares and is on target to get the same percentage of these in foal. It is always easier to blame the stallion.

I can understand Wildcat Heir's plight. I'm wiped out after being with three women in a row...when that fourth is ready to go, I'm runnin' on empty.

I'm fulla crap, you think to yourself? Um...yeah. I am. LOL!

Stop pointing hooves ... sometimes a mare and stallion are simply incompatible, blood type is usually at the root of it. Humans are the same way.. Most stud farms let you out of the contract after three covers/no cigar. The mare can see a different stallion and bam! it's done.
