Am I reading too much into this?

Postby bdw0617 » Sat May 26, 2007 5:33 pm

Was watching the 9th race over at hollywood park... nice maiden by the name of Tredmill won pretty easily in a 2YO race by E Dubai

anyway, the horse was owned by J Paul Reddam but not trained by Doug O'Neil, but by Craig Dollase.

Could this be Reddam sending his 2YO's to Craig because he is unhappy with the lack of progression of the 3YO's by Doug O'Neil... Cause I gotta tell ya, Liquity, Cobalt Blue and Great Hunter have not learned a lick since becoming 3.

I don't know what he did to lava man, but he ovbioulsy didn't reproduce it.

I happen to like Dollase from what I have seen of him

Reddam has used both O'Neill and Dollase for awhile now.

No problem. The sad thing is that the two horses I can think of off the top of my head that Dollase has had for Reddam have been Hendrix and Bear in the Woods and both died on the track. Normally I don't like to remember horses that way but I witnessed both and Hendrix was particularly awful.

Did Hendrix have a career ending injury in his 1st start?

No, Hendrix was an older horse and a very popular one. His death is listed on the flying filly website.
