Monday at Belmont, Nick Zito

Postby bdw0617 » Wed May 30, 2007 11:28 am

Is it me, or did Nick Zito accidently swap horses in races?

Shouldn't Commentator have been running in the met mile, and sun king against the state breds?

yes sun king isn't necessary a sprinter, but he would have moped that filed up.

Put commentator in that met mile and he might have won it... best performance I saw all day at any track

If High Finance were managed properly, I think he would have won the Met Mile. The Met Mile opening fractions weren't that fast for a race of this caliber and High Finance finished his mile very strongly...1:33 3/5 is running!

Why was this horse entered in the Belmont Stakes last year? Grrr!!!!!

before I get flamed, I know sun king isn't a NY bred so techincally he couldn't have been in the race, but still...

with the fractions that he ran earlier that day he would have destroyed that field (commentator)

and zito knew what type of horse he was sitting on... i'd be sorta pissed if I owned that horse and saw that, then saw a 600,000 race later that day that he was qualified for that he probably could have won.. oh, and it's a GRADE 1

i haven't liked zito ever since he had thoose 5 horses in the derby... i hate trrainers who have horses in the derby just to say they have 4 or 5 horses in the derby... only 2 really deserved to be there IMHO

but he doesn't overrun horses (not that i have noticed) so he isn't the worst in the world, but I wouldn't send anything worthwile to him

Because he's owned by West Point, a partnership, and they really want the big horse running in the big famous races.

They also over-extended Flashy Bull, in my opinion, last year, but he's now doing great in Grade 3s and such. They gave him a long time off too, turned out.

I like them a lot, but they are dreamers, and right now they are rising far out of my price range! :(
