Osselet Problem

Postby crazy canuck » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:51 am

If a racehorse has what a vet describes as an "old osselet" on one of its front ankles does that mean the horse is no longer able to run?

Hey Crazy,

As long as the osselet is "old" (set) and the horse has been running all along with it--there is no reason he would be unable to race. TJ

Silly question, an old osselet couldn't be green. If it is old and not located in a spot that interferes with the horse's action, and the horse has been running on it all along, why would the horse stop now?
