Hi FOS, I agree. We should discuss this about the same time next year, or.............maybe after the Kentucky Derby. Maybe that's too much to ask, but next year. :D

Hi FOS, Mike, and all: Please don't end this thread without allowing me to be a shameless pimp and add my two stallions to the $0 - $10K section:REBOUND by American Chance out of Chugger by Drone and Chance Spender by American Chance out of Legendary Spender by Norcliffe. I'm in favor of us all throwing fashion and chance to the winds and having all our mares bred to them. There! I'm a pimp. I'll never be able to look myself in the mirror again. By the way, Private Contracts are negotiable. I will be the best pimp I can be. You can trust me on this. Best regards - Shammy

hi Shammy

Sounds like you're certainly willing to take your "chances."

Your enthusiasm...energy...passion...and your oh-so-important sense of humor...are palpable.

Best to you.

Hi all: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Your support is welcome. I think to do this right, I'm going to have change my attire. What do you think about the John Travolta look in NIGHT FEVER for me? I would stand out in the paddock. Marketing experts say even bad publicity helps. I think I could learn to enjoy being a pimp. Something to carry me through my old age. Now all is need is financing. Please, please, please send your mares to my American Chance studs. One goes long. One goes short. And I go for anything reasonable. Best regards - Shammy

Shammy, I also should plug my horse in the same 0-10K range, Rocking Trick by Phone Trick out of Razzi Cat by Storm Cat, multiple g1 winner.... should I get some fuzzy dice for my truck, or better yet get a yellow Lincoln?

Madelyn: Great minds think alike. I just got my wife the fuzzy dice and the yellow Lincoln. They coordinate well w/her leather apparel and Wal-mart pearls. Forget the truck. They never look good without a rifle in the back window and Winston Cup #'s on each panel. It's not you. I can definitely see it with TEXAS, but not you. You've got class. Personally, I think my wife looks great but she has told me I'm sleeping in the guest room until a few changes are made. I haven't come to any conclusion on what she means by that. Best regards, Shammy

That depends on where the guest room is. If you have to move the Labrador out to make room, I think you'd better backtrack!

hi all

Market Appeal?

Consider this...

...2004 leading freshman-sire Successful Appeal sired his sixth stakes winner today (12/11/2004) when his 2 year-old colt Hostile Witness won the Inaugural Stakes (carded as a $60,000 six furlong stakes-race on the dirt) opening day at Tampa Bay Downs.

6 first-crop-stakes-winners might be considered extremely impressive for any stallion...but the fact that freshman-sire Successful Appeal's first crop consists of a mere 37 two year-olds (per bloodhorse.com)...which translates to 16% stakes winners from foals...might be enough (all things considered) to boost Successful Appeal's "market Appeal" to lofty new heights.

hi Mike

Have you selected a name for your Giant's Causeway filly yet?

Does she appear to be more like her sire or dam?

Hi FOS
She will most likely go to the sales. She is the mares first foal and is very feminine but with plenty of muscle. Bone wise, she is what I would expect for a female. I liked her enough to go back to GC this season.

I didn't answer your question. I would say she looks more like a Storm Cat.
