hi madelyn

I might suggest (and wouldn't be surprised if you agreed) that...the best time to sell is when the iron is hot.
Furthermore...there's NO Guarantee that Street Cry will be as hot a commodity (at the sales) in summer/fall 2008, as he's likely to be this summer/fall...nor is there a guarantee that your filly will be more appealing/impressive as a yearling than she is as a
"lovely" (your word) foal...and there is NO Guarantee that she might not have an issue (physical or whatever) develop...that potentially might become/create a concern/obstacle.
On the flip side...if Street Cry backs up Street Sense with another of his caliber, and/or one or more first-croppers and/or second-croppers and/or third/croppers (2-yos of 2008) explodes on the scene and/or captures the imagination...and your filly progresses and seemingly gets better and better and more impressive by the day...well, then you
MIGHT benefit by waiting. I say MIGHT...because (as you know) even when a sire is seemingly hot as a firecracker...some (if not many) by him still disappoint at the sales...much less ring-a-bell.
I say strongly consider offering your filly foal (by Street Cry) this fall/November. With that thought in mind...it might be interesting (if not worth your while) to contact Keeneland and get a sense what book they might place her in (if you're considering going that route).
Again, when the iron-is-hot and all things seem to be going in the right direction...why not go for it?
That said...if you're willing to deal with the additional potential downside risks...waiting might be your cup-of-tea. As you know...the iron MIGHT become hotter, but there are NO Guarantees.
Whatever your decision...I hope you ring-a-bell.
