This is first filly I've bred with my dad. All comments are appreciated.
Did I make a good choice? I helped pick sire.

Mickey Fess 07' filly reg. in process by Dr Litin (Broad Brush)x(Winning Colors) out of Lucky Rhatara(Something Lucky)x(Rhatara)by(Avatar)
Thank you :)

Here is what I can tell you about your filly:

Her sire is a well bred and expensive yearling that didn't fulfill any promises. Out of the Derby winning filly Winning Colors and by chef de race Broad Brush, he didn't win a single race.

The distaff has a strongly European turf influence, with some distant black type in the 4th dam. The 3rd dam is a granddam of an Italian stakes filly. Avatar was a good race horse and regional sire (in Ohio?) and Something Lucky was a graded stakes winner.

If you're going to race her, she's more of an Intermediate type, not sprinting.

I like Dr. Litin's pedigree, and his race career isn't very informative, IMO - not sure what happened, but I suspect some mismanagement on some of those hard California tracks. Of more concern is that he does have a breathing problem that does have the potential to be passed on - but hey, so does Storm Cat, so you're in good company! He looks well conformed and favors Winning Colors much more than he does Broad Brush.

I personally would love to see his offspring do well and I wish you the best of luck.

Also I think she might sprint as her dam won going 51/2 2nd time out at Santa Anita

Like it was mentioned above, Dr. Litin would have a more distance-oriented pedigree, while her dam has sprinting influences. Therefore, an intermediate turf idea might work. That's just my opinion. Best of luck to you....
