I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. How wise of you to reach out to this forum. I am sure that everyone will support you as much as they can. You will surely have a lot of up and downs in the days ahead, but take things as they come and let people help you. Don't rush into things. I hope that you know you have a lot of good wishes and prayers sent in your direction.

Condolences
Sprucie, my condolences to you on this terrible loss along with my prayers that the Author of Life will send the Comforter to you.
For what its worth, I can remember the consolation I experienced being with my mare shortly after the loss of my father. The horse seemed to be able to absorb my grief of the time. I hope you are able to continue this in some way so that what you shared together can still bring thoughts and memories of joy and togetherness.
peace be with you

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.
Jodi,
I'm so very sorry to read of your husband's untimely passing. You two were a very admirable couple - I wondered at how some people can marry at a young age and stick through all life's challenges together - as you did - and raise two sons as well as you did, while so many of us can't make it through a few years. Your husband was a likeable guy, wasn't he? He had a real sweetness to him for such a big ex-football playing kind of guy. Always seemed game to your horse activities and plans. I think you're doing an outstanding job of holding it together. Just remember that he had a very full life - as you said, he saw your kids grow up and move on. None of us know what the future holds. Will have you and sons in my thoughts and prayers... take care,
Sheila
