Your mare's sire has an interesting pedigree. He's by Mr. P. out of Alluvial, a descendant of the great broodmare Bayou; he's a half-brother to the great Slew o' Gold.

The female family includes SW Just a Dandy, top female older mare Venomous, top sire Explodent, the top sprinter Treacherous, group/grade I winner Vergennes, etc.

Is that good? I breed primarily Paints and QH's. I don't know alot about TB lines. I am learning about them.

She is a gorgeous moving mare! LOVES to jump. very ellegant to watch.

If BB had not been successful at stud then that would have been the end of the line for direct male line descendants of Colin.

The Domino line has "come back from the dead" over and over again -- and seemed to skip a couple of generations at times.

Domino himself was a great race horse back in the 1890s, a sprinter of amazing speed. He sired 1 small crop of around a dozen foals. Of the colts, I think only 2 made it to the stud -- Commando and Disguise. Commando also had short stud career (he died of tetanus in March, 1905) but sired some remarkable runners, sires, and sires of sires, among them Colin, Celt and Peter Pan (sire of the great sires Pennant and Black Toney). Prior to the WWII, the Domino line was one of the more important sire lines in America.

Colin was a shy breeder that sired fewer than 60 foals between 1911 and 1933, but in 1926 he sired Neddie who sired Good Goods who sired the great runner and decent sire Alsab, the great grandsire of AckAck.
