My First

Postby Des » Mon Aug 07, 2006 3:10 pm

I wanted to share a picture of my first horse that I personally bred with the forum, but do not know how to post the pics. Can someone instruct me how to do so.

Thx

First, the photo needs to be up on the web somewhere where you can link to it.....photobucket.com is a free site that exists for that very purpose, or you can use a site of your own if you don't mind a drain on the bandwith.

Then right-click on the photo itself (NOT the page it's on...that's a common mistake!) , select 'properties', and in the window that pops up you'll see the photo's address (URL). Copy that address.

Now, when you're in the reply field, look above the window to the button that says 'Img'. Click that, paste the photo's address right after it, then click it again. It should look like this - Image.

Then you just submit as usual! :) If you get a red X instead of a photo, double-check the address....if that isn't the problem, then chances are the photo's on a page you can't link to.

Hope that helps! :)

His name is Champion Charlie a yearling colt by Bankbook- Runup. He is her first foal and the First horse I bred. I wanted to insert a full sized picture but I just can't seem to copy it and paste here. I'm hoping for the best from him. I am now looking for a training center in South Carolina or Ocala to send him.

Very handsome. But be careful, horses are like potatoe chips -- you can never have just one. :)

Des - never fear - took me forever to learn to post pictures ;)

He's a good looking boy. Best of luck with him and keep us posted.

Thanks for the comments. Here are a few more pics of Charlie after my visit on Sunday, he was just a baby the other day. I am getting nervous just having the thought of having the first from my own mare to get out there and perform. He is ready to go into some work now. Well Phase 1 of Charlie's breaking went well, He is now off to South Carolina for some serious training. Hoping that everything will go well and he makes it to the races. Would be a part of my dream come true. I will post his pictures below. I went to see him in Maryland last week. He color is much darker now and he is a big boy. I aso gelded him, which was recomended by the Farm that was breaking him.
