The 44th running of the Jim Dandy will kick off the beginning of the 3YO divisional battle at Saratoga this Sunday July 29th. It will be run over a distance of 1 1/8th miles. I'm looking forward to seeing if Street Sense will show up in the entries for this one? The Jim Dandy or the Haskell were options for Street Sense' first start and from what I've read so far--the Jim Dandy was the preferred race for Street Sense.
Curlin is a definate for the Haskell but is all ready talking about passing the Travers in which Street Sense is a definate, so we may be let down yet again this year to see a divisional showdown.
At this point after Rags To Riches, Invasor, Street Sense and now Curlin playing racetrack chess--it's starting to get annoying. Guess we will have to suck it up and wait for the Breeder's Cup Classic and hope they are all sound enough to get there. TJ
