Excellent Effort

Postby petersd » Thu Aug 23, 2007 7:25 am

OK - have to brag a bit.
A colt I bred named Excellent Effort won the 6th race at Bay Meadows yesterday by 8. His dam, Gallant Effort, is now 3-3 from starters (I have her 2 year old Roar colt at the track as we speak), and the three broke their maidens by 8, 11 and 8 lengths respectively. Not bad for a mare bought for $5,000 in foal to High Brite in October 2001.

Congrats! She's tail-female to Frizette, and you have to LOVE that! I have two broodmares tail-female to her and it was certainly done by design.
Don't be so humble - you are not that great.

I like Julie's Gem, Madelyn. These Frizette lines are all serious racehorse and sire producing branches.

I have Joy of Ireland and Harpa.
