Presque Isle- Anyone Race there yet??

Postby caraway » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:14 pm

I am heading up there to race Friday & looking for tips. How is the backside? Trailer parking? Do you need to bring stall guards? etc...

I meant bring everything you think you may need, and then more. The barn area was not designed with actua horsemen in mind....more as an afterthought to the cha-ching of the casino.

You will not get into the barn area without being licensed in Pa and make sure any help is legal as Homeland Security is tight. Once you have raced you have to leave the grounds in 2 hours.

I didnt have any issue getting into the backside without my badge. I didnt have any idea on me, but I have been back there a few times.

Nothign in the stalls to hang a bucket on, or a tie, so youll need to improvise.

The backside was very neat, and the barns are pretty nice, that backside wasnt my bitch. The table in the clubhouse and 200 dollar tab was my bitch.

They have a lot of work to do but the money is too much and the problems too minor to not run

4th

Tonight I was denied entrance to Casino floor, and ultimately the racetrack. I lost my license so I have last years 07, mind you my current license is valid. I had 6000.00 in winning tickets to cash, had already valeted my car, and they told me I wouldnt be allowed on the grounds. Thats on the heels of them failing to give us a stakes table, while jerking me with a 300 dollar dinner tab. Its ridiculous. The guy who wouldnt let me in sounded like Balky from perfect strangers, and the kid who escorted me off the grounds didnt look old enough to drink legally. I did get my valeted car "comped" The guy had the balls to say sir we will comp it!!! Thanks for saving me the three bucks buddy, you are a hero.
