Del Mar Futurity

Postby bdw0617 » Wed Sep 05, 2007 2:45 pm

who do you like?

it's a sad day in sports when a colt that broke his maiden in 1:12 and 4 is your 7/2 fav in a grade 1

i could care less who wins the race. I like Sky Cape because i like Muhall and I was impressed with his maiden and his last race and at 30 to 1 it's a good (needless to say) price. but overall this is as irrevlant of a grade 1 as you will find. look at the pedigrees of the runners.

Polycrap makes it a pointless race. The winner will probably run on the cushion next and maybe the dirt at Monmouth Park.

there isn't one colt of note. Georgetown could have shipped to Del Mar instead of running in the Hopeful, win by 5 under a hand ride and storm cat would have the next "young hot stallion prospect"...race management people.

it's actually painful to watch the races. hopefully we can get a good enough response from the Santa Anita CUSHION that it will cause so much of an uproar that they will yank that crap out and install cushion. I like cushion.. it's a happy medium.

Don't let facts get in the way of your opinions. Santa Anita actually has installed Cushion Track.

:? you find one typo and throw out a positive post.. interesting.

forget the fact that my next 2 sentences offer nothing but praise for cushion. let's throw that out and bash

I like Salute The Sarge. He has done nothing wrong thus far and looks like he's coming up to the race monster.

Why are you all so negative? You don't think a good horse will come out of this race? You can hold your response for a few months if you wish..

not really if you want me to be honest. Look no farther than the pedigrees of the colts. Pedigrees aren't the end all be all but for the most part these are glorified cal breds. theres a 300k baby in there some where, i think the fav but for the most part...blah

my fav colt on the west coast right now is Booted. I actually LOVE what I saw out of his looses, and he just hasn't been asked for anything anywhere near his alley as far as distance

I like salute the sarge as well, however I think the colt Talamo is one had his number in the last race and the added distance should help.

you can take the winner of this race, and throw them into the Champainge and they wouldn't stand a chance in hell of placing let alone winning.

NEXT year however... the this is going to be a HOT prep becasue the BC races are going to be on poly.. no ..CUSHION before I get flammed.

Tribal Rule! Interesting to see if Georgie Boy survives his left lead run on poly. On dirt odds never hear from him again.

I don't think i'm oversteping it by saying I couldn't tell if that was a cliaiming race or a grade 1
