Thanks, Rok.

And wow! Mr. Calabrese also had the winner in the Arlington-Washington Lassie S. with a nice El Prado two year old filly, Dreaming of Liz.

I have had your filly in my virtual stable for awhile due to her sire, and must be counted as a fan. I did not realize the connection to a forum member until now. Nothing to be ashamed of in today's performance. With some time and maturity, she should be a very good mare. Best of racing luck in her future

Thanks, Bedouwia! It's been a good year for us. The three year old crop we pinhooked has been performing well, especially Barnoness Thatcher, and the ones we've kept have just been great.

Sounds like your filly ran a good race. Best of luck to her in the future and SAFETRIP!

Maven, I forgot to ask...does Jimmy Choo make aluminum plates with bends for fillies?

Of course he does, and the heels are four inches high.

She has a very nice turn of foot. No question she's still learning. Be patient Maven; she could be a very serious mare..

Now you're just being ridiculous! I would NEVER get some Choo's for a younger and leggier girl!

Zinn is absolutely right, but sometimes after a race like this, the lightbulb suddenly goes on. After today's experience, maybe she's figured out that she's supposed to run hard to the end and not goof around - some others caught her. I've seen many, many young horses improve further off an effort like today's.

Maven,

I saw Tony Granitz just after the race as he was coming down from the box--he couldn't possibly have had a bigger smile on his face! Congrats on a big run!

I got to watch your girl "in person"--we had a nice little cheering section going for her at the rail near the finish line.

She's a doll!! :D You have a lot to be proud of!
