George Washington May Be Headed For Breeder's Cup Mile

Postby Worksoplad » Fri Sep 28, 2007 6:07 pm

After scratching George Washington from tomorrows Ascot QEII Stakes, Aidan O'brien says he may head for the BC Mile:

“We never said he was a definite runner and the decision not to run him was basically because we are considering other possible targets for him. The Champion Stakes at Newmarket is one race we will be looking at and there is also the Breeders' Cup Mile.”

If he does go in the BC Mile, maybe Roy and Gretchen Jackson can say hello to their boy. They sold him as a yearling, he's from the same crop as Barbaro.

No to shabby for people that don't have many broodmares.

Yea. Grossly so!! At 2: Won Railway S.-G2(IRE), Phoenix S.-G1(IRE), National S.-G1(IRE). At 3: Won 2000 Guineas-G1(ENG) Queen Elizabeth II S.Ascot-G1(ENG); 2nd Irish 2000 Guineas-G1(IRE); 3rd Celebration Mile-G2(ENG)

I wish I owned a couple that were as overrated.
