Silver Wagon in FT Nov sale

Postby Cree » Tue Oct 09, 2007 8:45 pm

Just read on Daily Racing Form that 2-time Grade 1 winner Silver Wagon is being offered for sale in the Fasig Tipton November sale.
I am assuming he would be best in a regional market. How much will he go for?

Wondering the same thing being he is by a stallion that stands for $2500 in Kentucky and both his best foals are out of the same mare!

If anyone wants to buy him and bring him to NY..I would love to have him stand here.

I agree he will do well in a regional market. Will be interesting to see where he ends up

Silver Wagon is in the F-T Select sale. He is a multiple G1 winner, with over a million in earnings. I would be very surprised if he fetches less than $150K, and it would not surprise me to see him go for $300K. It WOULD surprise me if he brought more than $300K.

He was listed as not sold for $1,000,000

He enters stud at Hurricane Hall for $5,000. I'm wondering now if they regretted not selling for 1 million (unless of course that wasn't a live bid).

I don't think the $1-million was live. I think that's about the price they were hoping for (they wanted too much).

Looking back at the Wagon's race record, he was a really good two-year-old.

I gotta tell ya, I really like what hurrican hall has done this year with their stallion roster. nothing too flashy but alot of very very solid IMO moves.
