Actually I think it is a rather rich sale for a January sale. The Phipps horses are in there..

madelyn - You're right - the Phipps dispersal has enriched the offerings at this sale. Not that she's one of that dispersal (I can't remember now that I'm out of the Keeneland site) but I saw where SPLASHING WAVE was in this sale - selling fairly early I think, hip # 75 or something like that. She is one of the truly great race mares and sired by Icecapade, a decent BM sire, but she's not been one able, at least so far, to translate her excellence on the track to her offspring. And she's getting up there in years. Seeing her page sure brought back memories of her triumphs and made me yearn to see her go through the ring. IF anyone can think to do so and is there it would be great if you could take a photo and post it later - I'd love to see the ol' gal. OF course I could try to watch it via the computer......

I'll be there - as much as I can at least through Thursday when the Toccet filly sells

Randy Cat is also in the catalog, in foal to Yes It's True. I haven't really seen these kind of horses in a Jan sale in recent years.
