Could someone please explain to me how this list works? I just looked at the most recent list and I don't understand why horses are listed from 2006, 2005, 1995, even 1989 (!!!).
An example is the stakes winner T.H. Approval. He is still on the list from Dec.9/06, listed as unsound. Isn't he retired?
Or College Graduate, listed as unsound from Nov.19/06. He's standing stud in Arizona, expecting his first foals this year.
Why would they not be removed from the list? Or, why would a horse from 1993 still be on there?
Sam's Ace is still on the list, he brokedown Apr.30/06.
Showing Up is still on the list from 2006. He raced in 2007, but his name is on the list still.
As for recent horses, (ie. City Heat) listed as injured Jan.3/08. If this horse isn't on the next list, is it safe to assume this horse has been euthanized or retired from racing? They need to stay on this list in California until they get off the list, right? By getting off the list they need to vet sound, die, or be retired?
