I remember seeing Cute Show in some sales results in the TB Times last yr. Thought it was really sad that someone would sell an "own" daughter of Secretariat and she went for either 300 or 500, can't remember. Was hoping that whoever bought her would at least want to keep her for yard art.

I wish I had room. With the cost of hay and feed. Everyone is downsizing their broodmare band. Me included :(
It is hard to take a chance on a 22 year old like cute show, although it is tempting. I have done that one before. Then I am the type who feels sorry for them , and they end up staying forever or " until death does us part"
I am not a good business woman.

Cute show

Postby Stephanie Smith » Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:32 am

She is sound.. I dont know if she raced, but if she did then she is broke to ride.. She is so super quiet, and if she did not make a broodmare (which I hope she can), she will make a great riding horse..

I understand it is a gamble, but she is definitely worthy!! Trust me the conditions that she is currently in are not quality enough for a Secretariat daughter, or any other daughter in that matter!!

My numbers are too high, or else we would buy her in a heart beat.. You should see the other secretariat daughter he has (you would cry)!

Anyway- this mare deserves a chance with a good repro vet, and excellent semen! If she gets back in foal and delivers a thriving foal, you may be able to get another 2 foals out of her! She has excellent conformation, and physically (external) could carry foals without issue.

Anyway- I am trying to figure out now when the last time she had a foal was.. They did not have this at the sale he bought her at.

Daughter of Secretariat-- its a shame the situation she is in!!

I dropped "Old Friends" an email last night about cute show. I didn't hear back from him as of yet. The secratariat Center at the Horse Park might step in and help out. I believe there is also another organization in Ky that retires broodmares name escapes me though.

Stephanie I am having trouble logging back into my email but I will touch base with you this evening. I have a shipper that is doing some running for myself and another board member this upcoming week. I believe he will be in your general area. If this might help anyone on the fence about this mare. He usually does a very good rate and is nice to work with.

Hope I can help out someway :D

I think there is already a group of horse enthusiasts at work on getting Cute Show bought and moved into a new home.

I'm glad to know that....The history in her bloodlines deserve much more than it sounds she has received. Regardless of her produce history, a Secretariat daughter out of a full sibling to Raise a Native deserve respect.
Bloodlines of horse racing royalty in my opinion!

Cute Show is pending a sale.. I will let you guys know.

Proud Seniorita looks great (she is alpha in the field).. I have pictures availabable for this mare-- let me know! I can sell this mare with a free breeding to Wendover (just pay mare care/booking fee)..

Kristin Ann doesn't look quite as bad as I have seen her in the past-- but she still looks terrible!! She need a new friend!
