The TUMB scores are quite a bit different. How about the HUTI scores, Shergar?

I think I write for everyone here when I express a debt of gratitude to the painstaking research behind, "The Matchmaker"...not just any rating system would have concluded that Northern Dancer and Mr Prospector were good broodmare sires. I'm glad the research and methodology behind The Matchmaker ratings support what I had an inkling about. Phew!

As far as "Whose hot as a sire," (shouldn't it be, "Who's hot as a sire?), King Cugat has moved from the lush, rolling pastures of Lane's End to the snow and ice in New York to stand for $3,500 in 2008. That, in my humble opinion, tells me that he's stinko. However, you list a sire named King Kugat (with a K) as a hot sire, so maybe I'm thinking of someone else. I can't find a sire named King Kugat (with a K) in the stallion directory - maybe because he's so hot.

And Rogue wonders why so many long-term posters have decided to leave the forum or cut way back on the time they spend here.

I just gave George a vote of confidence. :D

I think it's rather rude to attempt to hijack a thread with what Rogue might or might not "wonder." The thread is about George's ratings. Beside, I've written in the past, "I wonder what Rogue would think..." and she's replied that she gets very annoyed when her name is mentioned in that context. I choose not to do that any more.

Sam, would you like me to cut and paste some of the things you've written to our good friend, George, in the past? George, despite the slings and arrows, has been a valued member since 2004 and continues to post...what long-term posters are you thinking of? Some that have died, perhaps?

Gee Roke I never knew you were a spelling snob too. Ah well, those of us who have long been fans of the GSV realize that George is one hard workin guy, a sputter in his website spelling is only a reflection of the long hours of work he puts in. I doubt that he'll even have time to notice your snide comments. Most don't.

Diane - my post was factual, not snide in any way. Beside, I just looked back on other GSV threads where VERY snide comments and deliberate putdowns of George Smith were made. Why didn't you think to reply then? You've been here since 2004, so surely you saw them.

I think opinions, right or wrong, are great to post on PQ, and they create great discussions here. But when a product is advertised, I think it's fair to judge what's being sold.

I'm no spelling snob. There are times when I can't type my anme correctly.

PS: Diane, I LOVED your post on the "This again" thread - I think you hit the nail right on the head. And, I agree 100% with both you and Sam on the, "Ridiculous if you ask me" thread. It sickens me that NYC would allow something like that.

Now...can we get back to the thread subject?

Umm, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to state that Mr. P. and Northern Dancer are good broodmare sires! I think Roke was just having a little fun with the list. I'm sure there was nothing malicious in his post.

There is a question I asked before about the GSV scores and never got an answer to. George handicapped the Hollywood Park Cash Call Futurity. The GSV scores he gave for each horse was different from the GSV scores one sees on the pedigree forum.

I am stil waiting for answer about the discrepencies.

When I read Rokes post, I just laughed. I didn't see anything all that malicious about it.

I love Rokes posts. He knows ALOT about racing. Same goes for you too Sam!

Lets all get some thicker skins and let the fur fly.

All the best to everyone.

Shergar.

PS: I hope King (K)(C)ugat has a good thick skin as he is gonna need it.

I don't laugh and I know a lot of others don't either. I know several posters who'd been on this board for years who are as tired as I am of him either turning every thread on this board into his personal playground of idiot jokes or endless bashing of certain topics.

It's not about being malicious, it's about being a nuisance. It's about the fact that lately any time George posts his numbers, Roke immediately jumps in to mock him with this TUMB/HUTI garbage. A joke is really only funny the first time you tell it.

BD got his ass handed to him back in October because he makes as many posts as he does and was basically called a spammer. At least most of his posts are racing related, but several of you tolerate and even encourage Roke's antics as if he were that retarded cousin that's just so cute when he walks out to dinner table wearing his underwear over his jeans.

His very first post in this thread was to mock George, then he follows it up with this:

yet he has the nerve to accuse me of hijacking the thread? Then plays innocent when someone calls him on it, even going so far as to ask that the thread get back on topic, when HE'S the one who shifted the topic in the first place. Like Rogue said the last time she smacked him for that -- it's insulting.

He made that post just to take some childish potshots at George. He's not joking, no matter how much he claims to be. Had I not said anything, he'd've continued to try and suck George into another pissing contest.

And personally, I have no respect for someone who has to go to Tuc and ask her to ask me if I'll help harass BDW into overstepping and getting another ban.

Before anyone immediately labels King Cugat as stinko (a technical terms perhaps) it might be worthwhile to check his AEI vs his comparable.

...and...NY is lovely this time of year.
