Looking for a breed to race stallion for the mare My All http://www.pedigreequery.com/my+all
She is going to KY this year and still have a LA bred foal. Stud fee range no more than about $7500
She is a big bodied mare, about 16.2- and toes out just a bit. Plenty of depth in her chest and a good hip and hind leg. I don't have access to her full race record, but I know she showed some talent and was injured early in her career.
We were thinking maybe Cryptoclearance or Honour and Glory. Want a proven stallion. Her first foal is in training now and showing some promise.
Thanks for all your insightful minds here!!

mating
When I checked the Goldmine, I found one graded winner with Candy Stripes as a broodmare sire, Candy Ride. Sire wa a son of Cryptoclearance

When I checked Candy Stripes as a sire of graded winners, most (about 75%) were complete outcrosses in the first 5 generations.
I like Cryptclearance as well, what about Devil His Due or stay in LA with Wagon Limit?

I had noticed the Candy Ride cross as well. Love that Goldmine!
When I was looking up Cryptoclearance at the farm's website, I noticed Devil His Due, and remembered that I like him as well. Too many choices!
The suggestion of Wagon Limit is good, we can use him next year when she has to stay in LA.
Thanks again for your time with this.

noworries, before you breed to a LA stallion next year, do yourself a favor and stop by and visit my two stallions, Mustang Jock and Counter Punch, in Opelousas. You will not be disappointed, especially if you are breeding to race. We will have 2 yr olds by then. Right now our yearlings are looking very, very good. That's no BS!!!!!

Mizzen Mast would be an interesting cross line breeding
Ribot 4x5
Flower Bowl 4x5
Legendra 4x5
Have you considered Too Much Bling at Lane's End Texas?
Grindstone is reasonable at $3500 and proven.

Would we really want a 4x5 to Ribot? I have heard he was a holy terror, and this mare does not have a brain in her pretty head. It does make for an interesting cross though. I wonder if the stud farm would think it is as interesting as we do and would give a discount....
What made you think about Too Much Bling? just curious.
I'll keep Grindstone in mind, too- same sire line as cryptoclearance.
Thanks!

He's fast
Too Much Bling was extremely fast especially if you have ever seen him run before. He is unproven but could make a very useful sire. Too Much Bling is by Rubiano who is by Fappiano. It would give you
5x5x5 Northern Dancer
4x5 Raise a Native
It may be too much Nearco and Native Dancer like so many bloodlines of today.
