Roi Dagobert as an influence

Postby ct2346 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 4:15 am

I am looking for straightforward ways to search for mares with Roi Dagobert in their page. I have been surprised to note that his influence is less prevalent than I initially perceived.

I have noted the Strike Gold contributions (he actually seems to be the largest contributor) and I'm aware of On the Sly, but my how he has faded. Wittgenstein also seems minor in the books today.

Does anyone know of any other stallion side or mare side influences?

Thanks.

hey ct

just came across this. Don't know if it's still of interest but doing a little research RD shows up in the 4th gen of Malibu Moonshine. My mare I'llmakeyoufamous has him from On the Sly.

Don't know much about him but this Chron of the Horse blog has some interesting stuff

Roi Dagobert

Hello,
Roi Dagobert's best offspring in Germany was Abary, a close relative of Acatenango. He was send to France as Stallion.

Another son of above mentioned Sire was Wittgenstein, bred in the U.S.,but stood in France.

At the Baden- Baden Mixed sales (bbag-sales.de), Friday 18th May a 2 year old (unraced) Lot 69 Laquiella is listed, Her Granddam La Paz (from the Love In family) is by Roi Dagobert. La Paz had 2 blacktype winners Longridge (by Surumu), Longville (by Lando)

Regards, Bettina

thanks Bettina

It's tough for the US crowd to follow the Euro (or Aussie) progeny very easily. I would have thought his strength would be the Euro type of racing.
