Sirelines for new stallion

Postby JimP » Sun Apr 06, 2008 9:33 am

Hi Guys,

I have just acquired a Stallion named Worldly Manner and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on which sirelines would work/nick well with him.

Thanks for your help.

Congratulations! I hope you are successful with him. I love his old bloodlines. I was trying to cough up a deal for Worldly Manner a few months ago but could find no takers.

No advice JimP, but congratulations. What an interesting pedigree, and tail female to Bourtai, who IMO is one of the great durability producing Reines. Not only that but Bourtai close enough up to appear without pulling up a 6 or 7 generation pedigree. And he has already produced a couple of useful runners according to the progeny list on the Pedigree Query database.

The very best of luck with him. Are there pictures anywhere?

Lens Cover

Hey JimP

Since I'm sure you didn't make a mistake, the lens cover must still be on the camera. Only picture I could view was the one in the Bloodhorse article.

What a nice horse! He's been in several states with little success, but with suspect mares. His sire and sisters and aunts seem to mix well with many sire lines. In particular I noted recurring instances of Nijinsky, Vaguely Noble, Tourbillon, Hyperion, Swynford, Teddy; moreso than would be expected available to him in the mare population in Texas.

You might seek an experienced opinion on potential matches available in your region with successful mares and/or breeders, and limit your first few seasons to advertising and special deals for targeting quality mares. His younger ancestors are starting to see moderate success from the Storm Cat line and Mr. Prospector, but Riverman works well with multiple common and unusual lines. Good luck!

Sadlers Wells has a great affinity with Riverman and others from the Never Bend line. So mares from the Sadlers Wells/Nureyev line would be best.

Worldy Manner

Postby Keith » Sun Jun 22, 2008 7:28 am

Worldy Manner seems to like line breeding Nearco through Amerigo and also seems to cross with Moscow Ballet which balances the line breeding of Princequillo and Bold Ruler. There is a Moscow Ballet mare selling in foal with a foal by her side for $2200 in New York here is her
