Any thoughts on Holy Bull and Macho Uno conformation?
Just wondering if anyone has seen both in person on flaws or similarities.
If I could be anywhere at any time it would be Keeneland in the spring.
I saw Macho Uno while he was down here in Florida and thought he was a nice-looking, well-balanced stallion -- I'm sure he's not perfect but I don't recall any huge flaws. Fairly short-coupled horse with a well laid back shoulder and pretty clean-looking legs, could have a little longer hip maybe, feet properly shaped but maybe a little small.

hi Mahubah
Quite narrow up front.
Best to you always 'M'.

Having reviewed my photo files, I would agree that Macho Uno could have had a little more breadth in front, but he walks cleanly enough. Certainly didn't slow him down any.
Guessing how these horses would fit Down Under is really a wild card. What I have heard (not seen for myself, so take with grain of salt) regarding Holy Bull is that he often throws a large, rather willful sort that must be handled with patience and persuasion. I don't know how he'd fare with all that Danehill as Nijinsky II appears to be his preferred strain of Northern Dancer, and he doesn't throw the early 2yo; he has had a couple of G1-winning juvies (Macho Uno and Confessional) but they both waited until fall and longer distances to show their best. Macho Uno could probably use a little broader type of mare with a good strong hip; I'll be interested in seeing how he fares with mares carrying Roberto on down the line.
