The latest Guaranteed Gold / Puchi Trap foal!

Postby TrueColours » Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:17 am

I just adore this new filly! :)

Born early yesterday morning, here is a picture of her at about an hour old:

and then a couple of her taken this morning at one day of age:

This is the fifth full sibling in a row behind Faux Finish, Chai Latte, Stonewashed and Remember My Name and she looks like she should shed out a beautiful golden medium buckskin once mature

This filly was sold to Scotland in utero, so she and the 2007 colt - Remember My Name - will be heading over to their new home "across the pond"

This combination continues to produce such fabulous foals time and time again ... and this filly might be the nicest one yet ... :)

Way to go Puchi! I always loved her, remember watching her race a River Downs. I always thought she would make a good mommy!

Donna, she's just stunning! But I wonder about the buckskin part.....she looks GRULLA!! And is that a dorsal stripe I see??!! It is more defined than simple countershading. Does she have a dun source in that colorful pedigree?

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS! <lol>

She's stunning!!

Not grulla, no dun in TBs but she kind of looks Smokey Black! Or seal buckskin maybe.

Congrats on the filly, she is gorgeous.

When I first read the title I thought it said "the last" not the latest. Geez I need to slow down lol.

Yeah - Ive had a whole lot of people who know more about this than I do (!) say that they believe she is a smoky black and not a buckskin. She is very much a grulla-y colour - almost like a charcoal coat with buckskin undertones??? :?

If she is - that would be pretty darned cool and would make her the first smoky black sabino TB out there! :) There was something like a 3% chance to produce a smoky black sabino from this mating - I really wonder now if she is one???

I'll have to ask her owner if she wants me to yank hair and send it in to find out for sure ... then I can let everyone know for 100% certain what she is

Thanks for the nice words on her - she is a REALLY nice filly and I wish I was keeping this one ...

Don't forget to post her in our new Color section! Jorge will be particularly interested in her, I think.

 Me too! I couldn't figure out why there wouldn't be any more. Glad I went back and reread that title.

She is loooovely! I think she will be the same color as my GG Sabino filly from Shew that will soon be three.
