Gold Fever--any thoughts?

Postby bridlewise » Fri Oct 03, 2008 6:25 am

Gold Fever is apparently coming to Minnesota http://www.bloodhorse.com/NOW/News/Bree ... 47345.aspx ! Any thoughts from y'all on the East Coast about this stallion? Durability? Temperment? Quality of runners? What do his yearlings look like? Thanks!

I have a mare that is 8 yo by him who has just retired from the track this year...She had 77 starts, ran for 6 yrs and ran out over 167K..She is a midget that ran routes, go figure...She is just an old love to handle and she is now at my partner's farm in LA living the good life...I like her a lot and hope you could get one just like her...Good luck.. :D ..ginger

Gold Fever didnt stand in New Hampton NY. He stood in Hudson NY before moving to our farm in Pine Plains NY. Questroyal just had 2 locations so it gets confusing. Gold Fever throughs nice foals and he is quite a nice, classy, old man. I was sad to see him leave. He will do very well for his new connections I am sure.

I have a mare by him that made 44 starts, retired at 7, and earned over $70K. She now has her first foal by her side. She is not a big mare, maybe 15.2 - but was a solid, hard knocking race mare.
