Another Mare aborted

Another Mare aborted
What is going on? Our last mare, Houston Bound, aborted just overnight. She was just vacinated and wormed at the beginning of this month and has been fine. This mare has never been on regumate and has always been an easy mare. She is current on everything and has been on schedule. NO new babies for us in 09. What a tough blow.
And BEGONE is GONE!

With both mares aborting at this stage and within a few days of each other I would suspect:
Rhino
EVA
or
Fescue Toxicosis or other feed related problem. Johnson grass can be toxic in quantity also.
There ARE other causes - placentitis, etc., but since it is your "entire" herd it is like an abortion storm and it is more likely that ONE factor caused both mares to abort.
