Quality Road

Postby Stevie Belmont » Tue Dec 02, 2008 7:55 am

2 year old Quality Road Takes His Debut In Blockbuster Style…Pressed On Lead And Never Batted An Eyelash As He Urged Home All On His Own In 1:16.11 For The 6 1/2 Panels. He Won At First Asking In Aqueducts Race 4 On Saturday, November 29th. The Son Of Elusive Quality Looked Great In Taking His Debut.

He is a runner. He will have a bright future.

I only watched this race once, as it happened. I was impressed.

Wow big Number...

Seeing both of these two year olds on the same day was exciting.

Quality Road is a fast horse who will try to carry that speed going longer. This horse will get on the trail of all goes well. Would also expect Jerkens to send him down to Palm Meadows. No garuntee there, but that looks like a good option considering Jerkens has horses down there in the winter.

As for Old Fashioned, he left no doubt he is real runner. Just liked the fact he did it on the front end with ease. I think he is the type of horse who will be able to rate as well. I was impressed in the fact he was able to cruise on the front end, and opened up on his own. He basically ran that particular group into the ground witout trying. Jones again will have an active spring.
