I was thinking about this this AM-even if both of them cannot run-there will be a full brother of Barbaro standing at stud...whether this is a good thing or not will remain to be seen....I have never approved of stallions standing on pedigree alone.....

I hear what your saying about pedigree alone, for me its ok as long as it's not large books of mares until he is proven. Vice Regent and Malibu Moon raced very little.

Well...he looked good in the post parade. At least he showed something instead of trailing the whole way. He should be tighter next time, despite McGee's raves in the Form about his ordinary works, everything about the horse screamed that he would need one.

As an aside the winner was pretty impressive, my mouth dropped when I saw him flying on the turn. Pretty decent time too, looks like Wilkes has another nice one.

Well so much for being undefeated like big bro. I bet he goes on the grass next time.

The post race report was that he grabbed a quarter in the gate break bump with Frankel's horse, and didn't go well after, so Prado wrapped him up.
I, too, would love to see this horse on the grass next time.

I didn't see a replay, but after the bad break it didn't look like Prado stopped him from making a bold move up the backstretch and into the far turn before flattening out. I guess being wrapped up in the final 3/16ths of a mile race is considered being wrapped up "after grabbing a 1/4 at the break" these days.

Can't people just say, hey he needed one he should be better next time and probably even be better on turf. Instead of the spins.

I almost spit up in my beer when I saw him at 1/1 in the post parade.

Is that so negative? I think you mistoke my disappointment for negativity. I honestly wanted to see him be an undefeated superhorse and I was a huge fan of Barbaro very early and then I stated that I think his his next start will be on grass. To answer your question, no.

OK, I'll say it...he needed one. I didn't see the race.

Hopefully the grabbed quarter isn't too bad and wish him a quick recovery,

I too would like to see him on the grass.

Me three. Granted, I haven't really seen him move much, but he looks like he wants turf & distance to me (actually, he looks like a steeplechaser to me, but that seems highly unlikely).
