Not mine, just mentioning Curlin's 4th dam is Blue Bay's 3rd dam -- if your breeding theory includes a longer view of the female family, this multiple winning Petionville mare out of a Dynaformer mare might make an interesting addition to the broodmare band.
She is on Leighton Farm's site on the "Looking for a Home" page where they ask a donation of $150 for any horse placed from that page. I think she's advertised elsewhere, but only by sire/dam & as a local show prospect. I had to dig for the additional bloodline information. But if you Google her dam's name & 1st dam, you should find her yearling sale page -- which was in 2004, before Curlin would have appeared on it - but Google:
dynablue "1st dam"
Or just look at her ad:
http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-171882
The site says she has an ankle chip and is sore & is located at Laurel, MD.

mare
Same reason people think because I asked for someone who could ship meant I said someone to ship her for free, which I did not imply or say. I simply wanted to see who might have something coming this way. I do not have a trailer, so I ask Hey, someone can bring her I can buy her. Transportation IS a big deal when you live in Tennessee, not many trips down at certain times, etc, and once you make that purchase and shipping cannot be arranged in a timely fashion, or falls through, daycare jacks the price of $150 horse in a REAL BIG hurry
or you are stuck trying to get rid of something you probably shouldnt have bought in the first place, from far away where you dont know anyone. Been there, done that, got burned for lots of money
Those cheap horses turn into "there goes my sale prospect and my credit report" in a heartbeat

unless there are two mares named blue bay. the website was updated today: http://www.canterusa.org/midatlantic/trainerowned.html
it seems strange to me but here's the ad:
Blue Bay: cute dark gray 15hh (approx) mare. Athletic, easy going, friendly, and easy to work around. Sound. Special placement terms apply.

It's not quite so easy. It depends on WHERE you live in FL. Near a major highway or the middle of nowhere. Once you leave the major roads the costs go UP UP UP!
I've seen so many nice mares actually in my price range but the cost to get them from (generally the north!) to me puts them in the not a good deal anymore area. The only good deals I was able to find were from private people willing to haul rescue horses. It still wasn't cheap though.
