I watched that race and have to agree. She is one to keep an eye on for sure. It is exciting to get a first look at the new crop this year.

I was watching the filly who finished 4th. Not bad in itself, but especially in THIS company. That winning filly was amazing.

The filly that KB was watching is out of my mare - so I was watching too.
Hot Dixie Chick looked awesome - I hope a lot of them from that race turn out to be good ones.

that filly is owned by Jess Jackson's family. So they're not going to be selling to anybody, I wouldn't think.

She went 56.48 - and Albarado was along for the ride the last 1/16th (conservative estimate).

I watched the replay again last night - why? Because I'm a wee bit obsessed. And the winning owner is Grace Stables (Barbara Banke) - I'm sure I remember seeing that name assosiated with Jackson - I want to say wife? And the silks are the same pattern except blue and pink instead of gold and maroon.

Yes, Mrs. Banke is Mr. Jackson's wife. She is also the co-owner of Jackson Wine Estates, which encompasses Kendall-Jackson and a host of other wineries, domestic and international.
