Smart Strike as broodmare sire

Postby springboro » Mon Jun 22, 2009 7:24 am

Ok, first we have Mine That Bird and now we get the Queen's Plate winner, Eye of the Leopard. He was already moving up his mares, but I betcha his numbers are sky high now.

Gosh, where would the TB world be without Canadians? :D I think Smart Strike is going to be a knockout BM sire.

He can't miss as a broodmare sire because even though he didn't produce a few exceptional runners until later in his stallion career his book of mares has always been much above average. I don't know what his Cl is now but the last time I looked a few years back it was considerable. Lanes End has really made this stallion----at any other farm he would have been moved years ago.
