From reading the article sounds to me like they don't have enough evidence and or conflicting reports from witness/victim. Seems like they should have made an arrest all ready.

alligations of rape are unlike anything else. they treat rapes and murders like the FBI treats anything meaning, they will not arrest unless they know he or someone did it.

it's one thing to get popped for a possible theif or arson or assult. it's another to have a rape alligatoin over your head. even if you are let go that never goes anywhere.

Out here in Wa state they dont even need a rape kit test. They arrest first, all they need to make an arrest is a victim/witness statement!

honestly, I'm disgusted b/c suffolk was a track I was at night and day. I would hang with the owners right to the grooms drinking corona while holding a horse in a ice tub pre race.. I got this email from a friend of mine who got it from her mom praying it wasn't me. I won't even be at Suffolk after dark now.

I wouldnt be so quick to judge Suffolk Downs until there is more evidence. I agree, there should have already been arrests if there was no question it happened.

truth is we don't know what's going on. If it happened, the people who did it should be stoned to death IMHO. BUT utnil that is proven that it did in fact happen, fact is we don't know squat.

There are so many things wrong with that given what constitutes "false", I'm not going to go into it for fear of saying something particularly harsh. It's not true, and for some actual stats for folks to mull over 60% of rapes go unreported, 1 in 4 women in the military suffer sexual assault, 1 in 6 women overall will be sexually assaulted, over 73% know the person (meaning it wasn't some stranger that jumped them), only 6% of rapists spend time in jail.

Once a rape is reported (assuming it even got reported), it's only just over 50% chance there will be an arrest, if arrested 80% chance they will stand trial with 58% of the ones who stand trial getting convicted and 69% (of the ones who were convicted!) will ever get jail time meaning... in the just over 39% that get reported to the police, only 16.3% chance the person ends up in jail, nevermind the ones that go unreported or the victim takes her (sometimes his) story back out of fear or possibly as part of the cycle of domestic abuse.

I don't know where you got that information , but in the state I live in if it's reported and the victim/witness is credible there is 100% arrest rate from what I've witnessed.

you make a bunch of very valid points.

however, my whole point in posting that was not to say "hey there is only a 60% chance she is telling the truth". it was to say that just in general, just becuase she posted it, doesn't mean it happened.

I dont' know if I ever shared this witha nyone here, besides crystal, but a woman filed charges against me in late august of last year. for no other reason than I would not accecpt her advances. she was out there. I was ovbiously dating crystal at the time, and had no interest in anyone else. It put me back, i was very tramatized by the entire ordeal, so much so I left Narcotics Anonymous over it as that is where the event stimulated

I never toched the woman. Not touch as in sexual touch. touch as in hey give me a bite of that sanwitch touch. ever. she followed me like a lost puppy and when she finally made it known she was very interested and I basically told her no, the next day I had the police at my door.

then having to go to the same meetings, after she told her "tramatic story" to everyone and have everyone look at me like I'm crazy or treating to kick my ass... when the police tossed it within 20 mintues of talking to me. it didn't matter. the damage was done. I assulated women becaise she said so.

so yes, as I said, if they did it they should rot in hell. just like had Iactaully forced the girl to do something with me, I should have. But I have learned the hard way... I'm goin to wait and see what actaully goes down. I don't do he said she said anymore.
