I sure hope they meet, RA needs some sort of competition. The Mother Goose wasn't exactly a thrilling race to watch. Malibu Prayer set smoking fractions, but ended up getting dusted.

Hope Zenyatta leaves California and tries RA on the east coast. I don't see the Delaware Handicap---only three weeks from the Mother Goose for RA.

some track needs to get agressivce.

someone who holds a 3 and up filly and mare race in the months of september or october (first week) needs to offer at least 1 million purse if both big z and rachael go off in the same race.

I love both Zenyatta and Rachael Alexander and almost hope that the question is never answered, yet what a race it would be. I cannot help but think that big Zenyatta might leave it too late to catch Rachael? I look forward to watching her run today, but it seems like she waits longer and longer each race to blow by everyone. Once Zenyatta decides to move, she too is amazing.

Zen made her move as usual and is now 11 for 11. I got a little nervous for a moment.....but she showed her class and won. Didn't need to blow them away....

Wasnt there a post earlier about Zenyatta not winning this one?
Im kinda disappointed in the lack of Field against R. A. it really didnt mean anything to see her win.

Rachel could have broke Secretariats record despite climbing badly for the first 3/8ths, I would have her measured. Until Zenyatta faces and beats the boys, gimme Rachel anyday...on to the Haskell

this was the race she was supposed to lose.
that was not impressive at all. she just faced a bunch that were well... basically allowence hroses.

Had Life is Sweet, seattle smooth, rachael, any filly or mare that would be considered a top class filly or mare, she loses this race. 1:48 and 1 in an all out drive down the stretch

in the stretch i was convinced she wasn't going to win. she just as not cutting it on. and mike smith was having to ride her in the back stretch.

maybe more time in between races?

Maybe, maybe not with the time between races. She was carrying 129 and still won.

yes. don't get it twisted. she's damn good. but I doubt she'd be undfeated if she left the west coast from time to time.

I'm strting to think that her record has more to do with her level of compitition

also think that's why racing against boys is literarly out of the question

Maybe more time between races... Hmm I dont know. The excitement was so fast it just made my day easier that I didnt have to sit around.
But still BDW 129 is still a high weight.

If it wasn't for Jackson buying RA, she would be still racing against the her own sex.

The Preakness was cool, but it had a surreal feel to it--sort of like "yeah, we know she would win." RA won, but she looked tired...two week turnaround for her.

oh very much.

but considering the descrprency betwteen the talent of bg z and the rst of the group, it wasn't alot of weight.

Well, if her next race is a handicap, maybe she'll get at least 132 lbs.
