No swimmers. I was really disappointed as I sent a mare to him this year but had to switch. At the point where we had to decide he hadn't gotten any mares in foal. Sad. I really liked him and he matched up so well with my mare. All that pedigree research down the drain.

that's too bad... I have one of his daughters! She's a beautifully built mare with amazing speed. Her family is all speed, but seem to get burnt out early at the 2 year old sales. I did notice her half sister by Olmodavor just broke her maiden at first asking at Emerald Downs.

I also just watched Lit de Justice's Breeders Cup Sprint victory on youtube. Quite impressive!

Here's a list from the American Thoroughbred Review site: Stallion Infertility.

They have several really interesting articles.

wonder if the farms can sue for libel, if not true or entirely true.

It said to let them know about any stallion fertility/libido problems and then they would investigate fully. Before they would put names on the Internet, they would look into it. I don't think they would be that stupid just to take people's word for it without going to the source.

Just taking a quick glance at the list, it doesn't look like they investigated fully what's up there.

I would like to know further how they investigated..I was surprised to see my boy Jade Hunter on there. It wasnt a call to the standing farm thats for sure.

You SHOULD be correct, but never underestimate how stupid people can be . . . :)

I sent a late foaling mare to Kipling this year and she has tested in foal, so maybe I lucked out there.

I'd like to believe this website does do its research, because if it wasn't true, those stud farms are well able to sue for libel.

In any case, isn't a stallion manager obligated to disclose fertility/libido issues to a mare owner? Wouldn't it be written into the contract?
