Thought this would be an interesting question. Thoroughbreds that you bred how much have they made this year?

So far the only substantial money I've made this year where I could actually say I made a profit was on the insurance money I got for the weanling we lost. I've got one that was selected for the CA select yearling sale in the fall, but the economy in CA is tanking so badly I don't know if that will work out, and we may end up racing more than we normally want.

None!
We just got started - oldest is a yearling that likely won't race until 3.

They just stand around eating and costing more $.

A 3 year old filly I bred (tho I dont race her, I sold her) has made nearly $21,000 this year.

$21K for you (as the breeder), or $21K for her?

I've got a magnet on my refrigerator: "I used to have money. Now I have horses." :D

$21K for her owners. She's racing out of the state she was bred in.
