2004 bay mare by SMART STRIKE, broodmare sire of the 2009 Ky Derby winner and 2008 Canadian Champion 2 yo colt MINE THAT BIRD.

http://www.pedigreequery.com/smart+gossip

By leading sire SMART STRIKE, (sire of SOARING FREE, ENGLISH CHANNEL, and CURLIN), sire SMART STRIKE is also a half brother to Canadian Triple Crown winner DANCE SMARTLY. SMART STRIKE is standing for $125k at Lane's End Farm and currently sits on TOP of the LEADING BROODMARE SIRE list. http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/breviewr ... PI&dir=Bms

Smart Gossip is out of first dam Suzy, a BROAD BRUSH mare who is a half sister to TOPICOUNT ($600k earner, multiple stakes and Grade 2 Winner, multiple Grade 1 placed), GSW 2 yo JAHID ($200k yearling), and staked placed Gone West Super Special ($360k yearling).

Second dam Hot Topic (1979 mare by THE MINSTREL - English HOY of 1977) is a half sis to stakes winner ELNAWAAGI, by Roberto & stakes placed Ambuscade by Roberto, a $375k yearling.

Third dam GURKHAS BAND (11x stakes winner, 22 lifetime wins from 45 starts), is a half sis to CUT THE TALK, multiple stakes winner of 25 lifetime races, SW GOLDEN GOSSIP, & SP winner Saucy Singer.

This is an exceptional chance to get some of the hottest current, proven bloodlines at a great price. This mare will go quickly!

Smart Strike, rising broodmare sire: http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/market-w ... -sire.aspx

MarketWatch associate editor Scot Gillies wrote in an analysis: While stock in Smart Strike has shot skyward in the wake of Curlin's repeated Horse of the Year seasons, the son of Mr. Prospector is also making a name for himself through the progeny of his daughters. He makes this year's broodmare sire list despite having less than 10% producers from fillies, one of only two stallions [of 404 on the list] to do so.

Smart Gossip is 15.3 1/2" barefoot. She does not crib, weave or stall walk. She is a class act all the way. This mare is sold as a broodmare prospect only, not to be raced. Album of pics at http://community.webshots.com/album/573403837vWfvis

Call Mike Vales at 330 (330) 843 - 2151 or email Jessi Jpizzurro***@***comcast ***net, removing all of the *** thank you. ;)

gosh, Jessi.... you have sorely tempted me with this offering. I have to admit, she certainly seems a bargain at that price.

I peeked at her dam's produce record to see why there were so few offspring - she had some problems early on with a 2001 American Chance that died, and then two barren years. After that, however, it appears she only missed in 2008. The Indian Charlie gelding is 1 1 2 from 5 starts and has earnings of $32,000.

Folks, I don't need to advertise for Jessi, but here is a Smart Strike filly from a solid stakes producing family.

Thanks for the nice comments - she is indeed a super nice gal.

Adding:

Please direct all inquiries to Jessi at the above email address. Mike doesn't want to be bothered with the phone calls & the whole selling process. "That's what I've got you for," he says lol. :)

She has been running unsuccessfully for $5k. If I add another zero to her price perhaps she will sell more quickly.

Geez, Jessi - I loved Tipping & now this one . . . and that gorgeous & flashy TB gelding (several of them, now that I think about it)

Downsizing . . . we are downsizing . . . I will be repeating that to myself.

Still, I want to visit YOU when I next come to Pittsburgh!

(But I really have to do it without the trailer . . .)

Hoop King Jr Smarty was examined this past weekend by Dr J Weir (NOT my personal vet), does indeed have ovaries, and was certified as breeding sound.

KB Tipping is one of Jenarby's horses but thank you for the nice compliments. :) When you do come visit our neck of the woods you better bring your trailer, I will find something spectacular for you to take home in it. ;)

Sorry for confusing you  but I DO always like your horses -

Fortunately for me, I need to drive something that'll fit in those underground parking garages in Pittsburgh with the corkscrew entrances . . . I'm good with a trailer, but not THAT good!

If I had a trailer, this mare would be in it.

the ad states she's for broodmare purposes only. is she sound for other riding disciplines besides racing?
